Sounds lovely. The furthest I’ve ever got is Skye, but I do love that part of the world. It does feel very different to anywhere else in these islands.

There’s also a great band called..The Bees! A bit retro -Byrdsy-sounding. Their track ‘Washing the Rain’ is one of my favourite jumping around tunes! xx ps loving the blog honey!

As ever, your narbled gonsense makes very entertaining reading. I laughed out loud at the description of the tent erection and was visioning the scene. I thought of you whilst out walking in the local countryside and passed a group of such tents. The growthful energy you sent to me in a previous email has taken effect across the miles as my tomato plants are climbing like the proverbial beanstalk. Their fragrance mingled with that of the basil and mint plants take me back to childhood memories of veggie picking and greenhouse chores. Long live the garden and the gardeners!

I wholeheartedly agree Dick - though I read yesterday that Matthew Wilson is the odds on favourite - though Alys, Carol and Joe are also in the running - the comment was made that Tichmarsh is probably too busy presenting every other show on the telly - what do the BBC see in him?!!

Hi Elizabeth - stunning isn’t it - that was a special moment when we took that picture - its from the top of Pilsdon Pen, an iron age hill fort in West Dorset and looks towards Colmers Hill, Bridport and the sea. Its my favourite place in the whole world.
